Last night (December 8th, 2011), BAAFF invited Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes to join our screening of THE POWER OF TWO for an exclusive question and answer session at the end of the screening. More than 100 people attended the screening at Tufts Medical Center to show their support. The two sisters stood in the back of the auditorium to see the various reactions of the audiences. After the screening, many people took this great opportunity to ask the specific questions they've been pondering about cystic fibrosis and their miraculous journey in life. Thank you so much to Ana and Isa for sharing their story to the Boston community about their personal experiences with cystic fibrosis.
ABOUT THE POWER OF TWO
Inspired by their 2007 memoir, "The Power of Two" offers an intimate portrayal of the bond between half-Japanese twin sisters Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes, their battle with the fatal genetic disease cystic fibrosis (CF) and miraculous survival through double lung transplants. Defying all odds, Ana and Isa have emerged as authors, athletes and global advocates for organ donation, and their connection to the CF and transplant communities provides rare insight into the struggles and overlooked joys of chronic illness.
