A TREE FALLS IN THE FOREST

A Tree Falls in the Forest is a short documentary that examines the impact of September 11th on New York City's Chinatown through three different voices: Peter is community leader who has spent much of his adult life fighting for the needs of the Chinatown community, Amy is a recent immigrant who was deeply affected by the tragedy, and Ling grew up in Chinatown that hardly resembles the neighborhood today. Weaving a mix of haunting imagery with vibrant archival footage of Chinatown, the film paints a portrait of a community that was overlooked in the shadow of one of America's greatest tragedies.
